A cable car ride to the top of the Aiguille du Midi delivers gorgeous panoramic views of the Alps. Not as high up – but just as amazing – a historic rack and pinion train transports passengers to Montenvers, at the foot of the Mer de Glace glacier!

Departing from Le Fayet, the three Mont Blanc tram cars are nicknamed Anne, Jeanne and Marie. They can take you to the Nid d’Aigle refuge, the gateway to the high mountains and the starting point for many mountaineers aiming to summit the “Roof of Europe”.
